Sales Policy
Due to gas prices, I am no longer able to deliver unless gas is covered upfront by the buyer ($1.50 for every 10 miles, round trip). I will travel up to two hours from Philipsburg, Pennsylvania. Otherwise, I expect buyers to meet me in Philipsburg or arrange a railroad. I am happy to bring chins with me when I attend events or do any other traveling, so check the railroad page to see where I’m headed. I am currently unable to ship, however I have been looking into shipping from the State College, PA airport. The cost just for the airfare is in excess of $250, but I can look into it further for anyone still interested in shipping. For the safety of my animals and myself, I do not have visitors in my home to see the chinchillas. I am happy to bring however many available chinchillas you are interested in when we meet.
I accept paypal, cash, or money orders and require a nonrefundable deposit of $25 or 1/4 the price of the chin – whichever is greater – to hold. All chinchillas come with food, hay cubes, and if the chin is more than 6 months old, a small amount of supplement as well. Printed copies of pedigrees are supplied upon request, unless the chin is designated as “Pet Only”.
Please bring a carrier when picking up your chinchilla!
You will have 30 days from the time the deposit is received to make arrangements to get the chin or it will be put back up for sale. I reserve the right to refuse the sale of a chinchilla at any time.
Because the major ailments of chinchillas can be caused by both genetics and/or environment, I do not offer long-term health guarantees on kits of my breeding, but I do guarantee they are healthy at time of sale unless noted upfront. Furthermore, I do not breed fur chewers or maloccluded chinchillas and do not expect either of those to occur in any of my kits, though it can happen. If a chin bought from me does develop any health problems, whether it was of my breeding or not, I ask that you let me know so that I can pull the parents from breeding, make a health note for other chins from that line, and let any other adopters of chins from that line know of any concern. Although I do not offer a health guarantee, I do offer support for the life of the chin.
In the event you need to rehome your chinchilla, please notify me first. I may be able to assist in finding a suitable new home and if not, I am willing to take any of my chinchillas back, no questions asked. However, no refunds.

*Note* I give my chins a name in addition to their ranch brands because it helps me to keep them straight. However, I do not require nor expect new owners to keep these names. I know part of the fun of a new pet is getting to name it, so feel free to do so!
*Also Note* ANY chin can go to a pet home, even if it has been shown and/or bred. The “Available Chinchillas” are not reserved for breeders. As kits, I do not guarantee they will be of breeding or show quality, though they may turn out to be. Those that are old enough to be evaluated may go to either a breeding or a pet home. “Pet Only” simply means they are not breeding quality for one or more of several reasons, but they would still make an excellent pet.
